As for this week’s clip show: I’m not sure what the purpose of this rehash is since Ancient Aliens has already done a dedicated episode in 2022 about standing stones and one in 2013 specifically on monoliths. But they redid it anyway, even after previously dedicating a 2014 clip show to stone structures. Here, then, is the list of the parts of this week’s slapped-together, money-saving cut-and-paste episode:
10. The Rudston Monolith. From the 2022 episode on standing stones linked above. 9. The Ishi no Hōden Monument. From a 2017 episode about the Ishi no Hōden. 8. Obelisks. Sorry, but I can’t tell you which of the dozens of episodes touching on obelisks this clip came from, but it seems to be from the same standing stones episode, or the preceding monoliths one. 7. The Stelae of Copan. A segment from a 2020 episode about stone giants. 6. The Gate of the Sun. Tiwanaku gets mentioned so frequently, it’s hard to remember which episode this clip came form. They just recycled this same content last fall. 5. The Stone Spheres. Bosnian spheres covered in last year’s episode on stone spheres (rehashing point-for-point a season 5 episode on monoliths). 4. The Colossal Heads. This clip about the “African” features of the Olmec stone heads appears to be from a 2019 episode on the Maya. It’s pretty racist and the racism is repeated unchanged. 3. The Carnac Stones. Another frequently repeated segment, this is probably the 2022 updated version from an episode on standing stones rather than the 2013 episode whose footage it reused. 2. The Moai of Easter Island. This seems to be from a 2018 episode on stone statues. 1. Stonehenge. Again, this is material so frequently repeated, with so little change, that it’s hard to identify the original. I’d guess it’s from the 2019 episode on “The Secrets of Stonehenge,” which covered Merlin and portals, but, really, it could have come from a dozen episodes.

Well there were the three hundred folks at NNSA they told they were redundant, never mind that they were nuclear security folks, because they fall under Department of Energy. Less than 24 hours later they were told they were fired by mistake. Sounds pretty indiscriminate to me.

I'm waiting for the old guy at some office who is well vested in retirement to respond to the "5 things you have done this week" email with:

The canceling of almost all grants, closing of USAID and layoff of pretty much every probationary (under 1 year of employment) across the entire Government except DoD and DHS..

One would think the $40,000 Man who's so concerned with funding would, y'know, follow the news on funding. Is there a Reading to the Elderly program in your area? Perhaps interlibrary loan?

It's Probably Not Aliens puts it right when they sum up most of Ancient Aliens arguments as "How move big rock"

Stonehenge was never finished. The original remains of the actual quarry are now long beyond discovery. The builders abandoned building Stonehenge after finding out there was no more bluestone to quarry.

Bluestones from Wales for Stonehenge - that's as equally crazy as the Aliens from Outer Space. And the new theories about how the experts think the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids is as equally as crazy.

That is the current mainstream theory. But we don;t have to believe that any more than the ancient Incas (?) must have travelled in balloons to explain the Nazca Lines. Another far-fetched theory.

You're comparing apples and diapers. One doesn't HAVE to believe anything. If people want to believe in balloons, go with Christ, but THAT's not a mainstream theory. The mainstream theory about Stonehenge IS. According to YOU. Go with Christ.

Yeah there was a Big Bang that was responsible for the existence of the universe. Yeah, there really was an Asteroid that made the dinosaurs disappear. The trouble is that these scientific theories cannot be proved even if they happened. Nevertheless, I will remain a brainless believer in scientific theories (which, by the way, are no different to scientific dogma).

There's lots of evidence for both. What's your evidence of whatever you are proposing as an alternative?

In light of the collective crazy coming out of those two from day one it would be surprising if one or both didn't play this card.

If you want a really good laugh, read what she says while replacing, aliens with Wolter. My wife laughed so hard, she snorted. I haven't heard her laugh that hard in 15 years.

She has tried that shtick before, even weaseled a spot on ancient aliens under a former name.
