In his continuing arc toward paranoid Christian conspiracies, Tucker Carlson alleged in a new interview that a demon attacked him in his sleep last year. The conservative pundit and UFO conspiracy theorist shares his bed with his wife and four dogs but says he cannot explain how he received scratches on his body while he slept. An evangelical Christian on his staff told him it had to be a demon. Carlson told the story on a Christian podcast hosted by John Heers: HEERS: So it left physical marks? Carlson said that the experience gave him an intense desire to read the Bible, which has been a "transformational experience."
The timing of the alleged demon attack would place it a few months before the period last year when Carlson began claiming that flying saucers could be demonic entities and made several odd statements about "really, really, really dark" UFO secrets that had a "spiritual component." At the time, Carlson had suggested that the so-called "evidence" for the ancient astronaut theory implied that humanity was actually created by demons.

Hmm. This is where Jason would typically mention sleep paralysis, which is a wild ride and can account for quite a few "phenomena". One wonders if Mr. Carlson suffers from paella I mean pellagra, a niacin deficiency that can cause sleeplysis. Left untreated, depression and death are on the menu. Gotta nixtimalize mah brotha! Supplemental niacin from the grocery store is an easy treatment.

Poison ivy has been known to take out entire archaeology crews and some were still scratching a year later.

When you are scratched by a canine and don't clean the wound, it's going to last for a while. By chance, is one of his dog's named, "Demon".

This kind of socially conservative popular whack-jobbery and whack-nuttery from Tucker just makes it easier for the Cardinals of the church to justify co-opting the Jerusalem temple building plan they’ve been anticipating for centuries; at least since November 18, 1626.

No, he didn't. He claimed something happened to him in his sleep that he couldn't explain. It was the interviewer who suggested the demon angle. He said in the interview several times that he couldn't explain it, he didn't know what happened, and that he doesn't care if anyone believes him. He did say the event resulted in a desire to read the Bible for himself, but he never specifically claimed demons attacked him.

Come on man, he was dropping this story on anevangelical podcast. Why? Not so he could be all unawares…it was so he could court evangelicals to fill up his followers list. The whole paranormal is demonic is so BORING. but in this case is also a hoax. Cant anyone from here to anomalist.com man up and actually call him out? Reactions for this story have ranged from mild amusement to discrete headshaking. And tc isnt falling down any rabbit holes…hes the one setting the trap for the gophers.

Do any comments supporting Trump's policies or the existence of the demonic get approved on here? I like dialogue, not diatribe.
