News
Happy New Year! It’s been a very long year once again, and it is time for my annual year in review column to sort it all out. Each year in pseudohistory and the paranormal seems a little darker and grimmer than the one before, with more people claiming to believe in alien visitation than ever before and every elite institution, from the government to the media to the billionaire class, corrupted by fantastical beliefs about UFOs and the occult.

If you received an Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card for the holidays, may I suggest purchasing a copy of my book, Jimmy: The Secret Life of James Dean or the first release from my new print on demand series from The Jason Colavito Library, Hoaxing History: An Anthology of Lost Continents, Fake Cities, Phantom Manuscripts, and Other Historical Fictions, available in both paperback and Kindle editions.

News
Happy New Year! It’s been a relatively quiet week thanks to the holidays, but as we wave goodbye to this year’s winter celebrations, I’m sure things will begin to pick up again. In the meantime, you’ll see that my website has had a small refresh for 2026, as I prepare to celebrate my 25th anniversary as a writer. I published my first online pieces on my original Tripod website in 2001. The official anniversary is in April, and I’ll probably write something to mark the occasion when it comes around.

New in My Library
New this week: Quite possibly the most racist Atlantis chapter I have ever read and a great example of how fringe history feeds racism. George Mallison, a distinguished U.S. Navy officer and lawyer, wrote in 1929 that Atlantis was a white paradise whose empire fell due to race mixing. The chapter was part of a book devoted to explaining why the “menace” of Black people requires shipping them back to Africa in order to save “white” civilization.

This week David Grusch appeared on Megyn Kelly’s streaming show to give his usual spiel about UFOs, and he added the unsubstantiated detail that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper oversaw UFO crash retrievals: “When he was the DNI, USDI and DIA Director,” Grusch said, “he placed people in critical roles to manage this issue both publicly and — I’ll just say, non-publicly as well.” Of course, “manage this issue” is rather ambiguous, implying more than it says.

Meanwhile, Harper Collins will apparently be publishing a new memoir by Lue Elizondo, tentatively titled Reckoning: The Unspoken Truth about UFOs and the Urgency of Now, which intends to discuss the connection between UFOs and “technology, security, faith, and the very identity of humankind”—i.e., Ancient Aliens-style bullshit. A listing for book on the publisher’s UK website gave a publication date of August 2026, but the listing was seemingly removed after social media users publicized it. The link now goes to a generic, blank template.

It has now been more than a week since Erich von Däniken died, but his legacy of throwing as much spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks remains as alive as ever. This week, conservative commentator Candace Owens slid comfortably into the same role that von Däniken once played, claiming on her streaming podcast that assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk once told her that he was a time traveler who was destined to die young. Owens asserted that shadowy “agents” monitored both him and her since their childhoods and these agents arranged for Kirk’s assassination in order to stop him from disturbing their plans for the space-time continuum and changing the future. The comments earned mockery and rebukes from her peers in conservative podcasting, many of whom had previously praised conspiracy theories about UFOs, Atlantis, and space aliens. So now you know where they draw the line.

This week, we learned from a social media post on X by Ross Coulthart’s producer, Meagan Medick, that being the in-house ufologist for a second-tier cable news network isn’t as glamorous as they pretend. After saying that she and Coulthart have to “fight” to get any “bit of help” and “coverage” in the mainstream media, Medick wrote she self-funds some of their UFO-related travel expenses related to James Fox’s UFO news conference in Washington this week: “We are working as hard as we can with little to no resources. I flew myself there on my own dime & bought a new iphone to try to bring you all the most information I could.” Coulthart has a streaming YouTube show under the NewsNation banner, but apparently the network is happier to have people opining via webcam from their home offices than paying for what passes for journalism in the UFO field.

Meanwhile, the Atlantic reports that teenagers are spreading the Nazi myth of “Agartha,” Heinrich Himmler’s favorite pseudohistorical idea that the Aryan race descended from demigods who came to earth from the heavens and created a secret underground civilization in Central Asia. The Nazi-era claim shares many attributes with the Watchers myth and the ancient astronaut theory, but with more explicit racism, and the Atlantic reports that teens’ interest in it is receiving sub rosa support from the Trump Administration.

In a clip posted to Facebook Reels this week, former America Unearthed host Scott F. Wolter claimed that the Knights Templar had knowledge of ancient aliens, that these aliens continue to visit us today, and the aliens “let us” bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a “lesson” about the danger of nuclear war. He claims that the aliens will not “let us” destroy the planet “because this is their home, too.” Like a bad episode of Doctor Who, Wolter claims Earth is the “crown jewel” of the universe and one of the rare planets “teeming with life” that the aliens have vowed to protect.

This week, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, said on a podcast that she “heard” that Pres. Trump will be making a statement about UFOs “soon.” Responding to a question about UFOs sent in by a viewer, Lara Trump said, “I hear that the president has something in the queue to share with us about all of this.” Lara Trump’s comments come shortly after a viral social media posting alleged that Pres. Trump would announce contact with space aliens on July 4 of this year. Also this week, Tuttle Capital, which operates the Donald and Melania Trump meme coins, launched a UFO Disclosure (“UFOD”) Exchange-Traded Fund investing in companies engaged in space exploration, aerospace technology, and potential non-human technologies. The question is whether Pres. Trump strategically leaked insider or even classified information to pump up the UFOD ETF, or whether Lara Trump is simply reacting to online chatter.

This week, the U.S. government gave us a real-time demonstration of the dangers caused by their inability to effectively identify objects in the sky when the FAA closed the airspace over El Paso, Texas, after the Department of Homeland Security fired a laser weapon at an object they thought was a Mexican drug cartel’s drone but was in fact a children’s party balloon. This incident is reminiscent of the many times that members of the military have mistaken balloons for flying saucers. It should give all of us pause that the people tasked with defending our country cannot reliably distinguish between alien spaceships, drones, birds, and children’s balloons—and have not been able to do so since the dawn of the UFO era.

It was a busy week in ufology after former president Barack Obama set off a media frenzy by suggesting on a podcast that aliens are real, which many took to mean that ufology’s outlandish claims of conspiracy are true. Current president Donald Trump fanned the flames by first suggesting that Obama had revealed classified information and then by directing government agencies to release their files on aliens and UFOs, without actually ordering their declassification.

I also want to share that I have the cover story, an eight-page retrospective on the life and legacy of Erich von Däniken, in the March issue of Fortean Times, #468. Be sure to buy a copy and check it out!

I just released the latest book in my Library line of classic texts. The Sibyl’s Prophecy of the Nine Suns provides translations of every major version of the Tiburtine Sibyl's apocalyptic prediction along with classic scholarship on their composition including the first English translation of Ernst Sackur’s widely cited 1898 analysis of the Latin version that established the fourth-century provenance of the underlying source text.

This week saw the return of the infamous 1995 Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction? special to the headlines when Spyros Milaris, who claims to have staged the hoax, lost his court bid in the UK to claim copyright over the footage in order to stop producer Louis Theroux and the UK’s Sky channel from showing a documentary on Fox-TV special and its cultural impact. The judge found that Milaris had no legitimate claim to the hoax’s copyright, which is also claimed by Ray Santilli, the producer of the 1995 TV show, who is working with the documentary team. Milaris lost £17,000 pursuing his claim.

The copyright tussle reminded me a bit of the 1995 Sightings UFO magazine episode that analyzed the alien autopsy footage. The show made a big deal out of asserting that they were using the footage without permission because the Alien Autopsy show claimed the film was US government footage, which by law cannot be copyrighted. That seemed rather audacious at the time, but of course Santilli was an active participant in the segment, so the fact that it was publicity for Santilli’s film, which aired three times on Fox before a home video release, undercut the supposed bravery a bit.

Santilli maintains that while the footage seen in the 1995 special is fake, it imitated a real film he allegedly saw in 1992.

News
This week, the Hollywood Reporter reported that we are facing down a wave of “serious” movies about UFOs, which the paper called Tinseltown’s “trendy new genre,” including two rival blockbusters about so-called “disclosure” from directors Steven Spielberg and Joseph Kosinski and a Roswell period piece-cum-biopic of Stanton Friedman from podcaster Bryce Zabel. (Zabel’s film is not yet in production.) The wave of UFO films is no coincidence: It’s the result of Hollywood chasing a trend. Given the long lead time needed to produce a movie, this year’s UFO projects, including several documentaries, are the result of Hollywood jumping into the media frenzy over UFOs that began with David Grusch’s Congressional testimony in 2023. Spielberg, for instance, announced his film in April 2024, meaning that he had begun planning it shortly after Grusch’s testimony.

News
This week, we learned in an interview with Mark Christopher Lee on the UFOs around the World podcast that Lee’s source for the claims about Donald Trump’s plans to reveal the truth about UFOs and aliens was supposedly none other than Robert Bigelow, the wealthy UFO fanatic who once owned Skinwalker Ranch and used taxpayer dollars to hunt space ghosts and monsters there. According to Lee, he had two sources who were close to Bigelow, the former owner of Skinwalker Ranch, and Brandon Fugal, the current owner of the ranch. These sources allege that Bigelow planned to “push” Trump to disclose the existence of aliens later this year and that there is a speech ready that would allegedly say something like “Yeah, Roswell was real. We captured a flying saucer. We captured occupants.” Take it with a massive grain of salt, filtered as it is through multiple layers of lunacy.

More importantly, Wolter claims to possess a coded scroll in which Jesus claims to be a space alien from Arcturus and that his clone will arise in June of this year. It’s a claim audacious in its absurdity, with Wolter unable to recognize clear signs of a hoax. You can read a transcript and my analysis in the link below.

As many of you know, it’s been a difficult couple of years for me because artificial intelligence has radically reshaped the freelance writing field. For many years, I subsidized my website, including my library of text and translations and my blog, through my freelance writing and editing for small- and medium-sized businesses. However, that work was the first to fall to AI, since these businesses jumped at the chance not to have to pay for PR, web, and social media content. This has had a significant impact on me, and unfortunately, book sales and journalism assignments have not fully replaced this income. If you need a human writer or editor, or know of freelancing opportunities in journalism or PR, please let me know.

I have always felt that the materials I post online should be widely available to help contribute to knowledge, and much of what I post is unique content that isn’t available anywhere else. Nobody else is translating the General Estoria or making medieval treatises on Ancient Egypt available in English. But costs are rising. Web hosting fees are up. And time spent on this content is time that isn’t spent on compensated work. Many of you will likely have noticed I don’t blog as much as I used to, and that’s because I have had to shift more of my time to intensive but less remunerative paid work to make up for better paying freelancing jobs that AI has eaten.

I don’t want to place my work behind a paywall if I don’t have to. It would drastically reduce my readership, and it would make it much harder for people to access material that aids in research. However, if it comes to it, that will be what I will need to do.

In the meantime, I have a Patreon and would love to have readers sign up to support my work. Even a few dollars a month would be a big help in keeping my website up and running, and if enough people sign up to support me, I could add additional blog posts or Substack articles per week. If there are subscriber-only exclusives you would like to see me add in exchange for supporting my work, such as audio versions of my blog posts, I’m happy to take suggestions.

Bill Maher used his New Rules segment on Real Time on Friday to promote UFO conspiracy theories, and on my blog, I wrote up a response to the aging atheist comedian turning toward space aliens as a substitute for God.

A new documentary called Sleeping Dog is set for a May release and will valorize podcaster Jeremy Corbell’s UFO disclosure efforts with narration by … Jeremy Corbell. The title, though, seems unfortunate. Since we let sleeping dogs lie, it forms a perhaps unintentional commentary on Corbell’s truthfulness.

Meanwhile, the media frenzy over Filippo Biondi’s claim to have discovered a second Great Sphinx at Giza came at just the right time, since I have been reading medieval Arabic geographies about Ancient Egypt this week, and I can say confidently that there is no suggestion of any second Sphinx until a tour guide came up with the idea in 1997. You’ll see in the links below what I’ve learned about medieval legends of Ancient Egypt this week.

I recorded an episode of a British podcast this week to talk about H. P. Lovecraft and his (indirect) influence on ancient astronaut writers, and it should be available soon. I’ll post links as soon as it is up and ready.

It was a big week for current and former government officials making wild claims about UFOs and the beings that ride in them. Vice President JD Vance declared that UFOs are flying demons from the pit of Hell (Rebecca Watson linked the claim to Vance’s mentor, Peter Thiel, and his antichrist obsession), while former congressman Matt Gaetz contradicted him by asserting that the U.S. has at least six breeding facilities where military officials force undocumented immigrants and people captured in war zones to mate with space aliens. Current congressman Tim Burchett added that after attending briefings from military and government agencies, he believes the country would fall apart if the truth about UFOs was ever disclosed, and he also called for disclosure. Make of that what you will.

While I can see from the number of page views on my blog that few of you read my deep dives into myths and legends of Ancient Egypt, I find it fascinating. If you haven’t read my story about “Phanophis” (linked below), whom medieval Syriac writers considered the first king of Egypt, I do recommend it. I was excited to see how an Ancient Greek account of Epaphus being the first king of Egypt and building Memphis mutated into so many varieties as it was repeated across cultures and translated between languages.

And a reminder: If you would like to help me to publish my translations and my investigations into ancient texts, I have a Patreon and would love to have readers sign up to support my work.

R. 8197, a bill that would eliminate the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the Pentagon’s UFO office, and also prevent any similar office from being created in the future. Burchett, a conspiracy theorist who has appeared on Ancient Aliens, appears to be acting on his upset that AARO is debunking too many UFO sightings, undercutting his promotion of UFO claims, which are now what the 2020 election denier is now best known for. Burchett has claimed that AARO is engaging in a cover-up of UFO secrets, one predicated on the notion that debunking even obviously false UFO claims is an affront to the military servicemembers who genuinely believe the balloons and birds they see in the sky are space aliens. Just this week, Burchett said in a podcast interview that he believes some unnamed “they” in the Pentagon will prevent true UFO “disclosure.” It doesn’t appear, however, that the legislation will go anywhere.

This week, Steven Spielberg made headlines by claiming that his upcoming movie Disclosure Day will be a conduit for the truth about UFOs: “I made Disclosure Day with certainty that there is a lot more truth than fiction to what you’re going to see on June 12,” he said at CinemaCon. “I truly believe that this movie is going to answer questions and cause you to ask a lot of questions.” Almost certainly this is little more than hype to create interest in the film, but it is rather shocking to see Spielberg claim anything like the “truth” about UFOs. However, since his Close Encounters of the Third Kind days, Spielberg has been convinced by the wild claims of ufology and the ancient astronaut theory. In Close Encounters, he drew on J. Allen Hynek’s ideas. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, he and George Lucas used Chariots of the Gods. Pseudoscience surrounding ufology shows up in other Spielberg productions, and he has expressed an uncritical fascination with the post-2017 ufology “mysteries” promoted by the likes of Lue Elizondo and David Grush. But when asked last month at the South by Southwest festival whether he had access to classified information, Spielberg denied having any special information: “I don’t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now, and I made a movie about that.” In short, his grand claims to truth are hype born of marketing, publicity, and a weird faith in ufology.

This week in my Library, I’ve added some interesting translations from al-Mas’udi’s Meadows of Gold concerning Mesopotamian history, Alexander the Great, and the Giants of ’Ad. I also added Leo Africanus’ sixteenth century passages on the history of Egypt.

This week, former Ancient Aliens star David Wilcock took his own life after a lifelong battle with mental illness and reportedly facing millions of dollars in debt. My obituary of a troubled man whose career, which helped fuel QAnon, did profound damage to America is linked below. Wilcock’s death overshadowed Lue Elizondo announcing that he canceled the first month of his speaking tour after his motorcycle accident, which left him with injuries he is still recovering from.

Wilcock’s death was announced on X by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a member of Congress with deep interest in UFOs and an apparent interest in the right-leaning mishmash of ideas celebrating Trump and space aliens that Wilcock promoted for the past decade. This week, she also posted to X ancient astronaut content, showing a picture of Domenico Ghirlandaio’s Renaissance-era painting of the Virgin and Child, which believers maintain depicts a flying saucer. Luna went on to endorse the Book of Enoch, an apocryphal Second Temple-era text that is ancient astronaut theory staple but not considered scripture except by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Luna, who chairs to the House Oversight Committee panel on declassifying government secrets, implied that the Watchers in the Book of Enoch are space aliens, a claim found in the works of Erich von Däniken and on Ancient Aliens. Since such a claim is at odds with the New Testament, where the story of the Watchers from the Book of Enoch is alluded to with clear reference to fallen angels (2 Peter 2:4; 1 Peter 3:19-20), this led to questions about whether Luna agrees with Vice President JD Vance’s claim that space aliens are in fact demons, and Luna agreed to disagree with Vance. Our government really should not be debating whether imaginary sky monsters are fallen angels, demons, or space aliens.

New in My Library
This week, I added massive translation of around 12,000 words from al-Maqrizi’s Al-Khitat on earlier writers’ legends of Alexandria. A lot of interesting stuff in there, but also a lot of surprising repetition of tropes, themes, and stories across time.

I also added Ibn Wahshiyya’s late witness to the last, euhemerized version of the myth of Tammuz, as well as a newly uncovered medieval account of finding what seems to be the bones of megafauna that were mistaken for those of a human giant (see here; scroll down to Al-Marqrizi).

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna continued trolling UFO fans by posting images related to classic pseudoscientific claims promoted by the likes of Ancient Aliens. This week she posted an image of Nikola Tesla and one of his magnifying transmitter, an invention that was intended to provide free energy worldwide. While it was capable of producing enormous voltages, no one has ever demonstrated that it was capable of providing global free energy as believers maintain.

This week, I added an experimental translation of the Arabic text of al-Qazwini’s passages on ancient Egypt from his geographical dictionary. I’m not sure how well it came out, given the limitations I faced, but it was interesting to see that it, too, contains a version of the story of the talismanic temple of Dalūka that modern scholars studying Alfonso X’s General Estoria believed the Spanish king’s scholars had fabricated.

News
This week, the Department of Defense began releasing UFO files in keeping with President Trump’s directive. The first batch, however, was somewhat disappointing, comprised primarily of previously released FBI UFO files from the 1940s through the 1960s. The original release of these files was heavily redacted and made from low-quality photocopies, while this week’s release featured high-quality, full-color scans of the unredacted documents. While there were no major revelations, seeing the unredacted documents offered a few new insights. I was struck by some of the full-color drawings UFO witnesses gave to the FBI, for instance, and we can finally see quality copies of photos of rocks, scrap metal, and other debris passed off as early evidence of “crashed” saucers. Of particular interest were the unredacted files related to the FBI’s investigation into Shaver Mystery author Richard Sharpe Shaver and his publisher, Amazing Stories editor Ray Palmer. The old versions of the documents attempted to redact their names—though not always successfully—while the new versions reveal which of the two men was under discussion in each file. Unfortunately, the new releases are missing most of the documents related to Shaver and Palmer from prior to August 1947 (with a few exceptions) because, for unexplained reasons, the unredacted FBI 62-HQ-83894 case files covering June and July 1947 (section 1) were not released. I have placed the unredacted versions of the remaining documents in my Library.

In addition to the updates to my page on the Shaver and Palmer FBI files, I have also added a page transcribing the unredacted version of the famous Roswell teletype representing the first FBI report about the so-called Roswell Crash.

On Friday, Rep. Eric Burlison, one of the most prominent UFO believers in Congress, announced on social media that, following a letter from Burlison demanding access, MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory has agreed to turn over a 1952 reel-to-reel tape of a UFO briefing Project Blue Book’s Capt. Edward J. Ruppelt gave to them. A rare moving picture record of such a briefing, the tape, labeled “Flying Saucer Talk,” has not previously been publicly screened. “I sent a letter to MIT Lincoln Labs asking for a classified 1952 briefing video referenced as a ‘flying saucer talk,’” Burlison wrote. “Their attorneys wrote back fast. They’ll comply within 30 days.” There is no reason to suspect, however, that the briefing is any different from the one the Air Force provided to the FBI in 1952, or from the evidence Ruppelt himself presented to the National Security Council in early 1953, which he later discussed in his 1956 UFO book.

This week, Rep. Eric Burlison said that he doubts that any UFOs are space alien vehicles after reviewing classified videos and other materials in the government’s UFO files, hearing whistleblower testimony, and hiring David Grusch as an advisor. Speaking on Jesse Watters’s Fox News show ahead of the Pentagon’s release of the second batch of UFO files (which were mostly blurry videos of birds and balloons and new scans of previously released Project Blue Book files), Burlison responded “No” when asked “Are you a believer?” I would hope that this isn’t setting up a pivot to demons and fallen angels, but you take what you can get.

Meanwhile, UFO advocate Lue Elizondo is going to be speaking in Las Vegas for a “live theater event” at the Wise Guys Comedy Club on June 2. Elizondo’s show supposedly “reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe.” He will be joined by his “special guest” for the evening, Timothy Alberino, the Christian Nephilim-hunter who links UFOs to Satan’s flying demons. Regular readers will remember Alberino as a onetime Ancient Aliens guest and the former producer for Steve Quayle who joined the extremist Nephilim-hunter Quayle in anti-Catholic conspiracy theories and hard-core conservative rhetoric about Satanic Democrats and liberals. We all knew Elizondo was a Republican, but his move to associate himself with evangelical Nephilim/Fallen Angels conspiracies is a surprising turn for a man who once claimed not to know what UFOs could be.

News
This week was chock full of UFO news as the federal budget process got underway in earnest and—by complete coincidence—every corner of ufology started screaming in alarm that we need more government funding for UFO investigation and “disclosure.” Indeed, UFO advocate Ryan Graves made the unbelievable claim that the government has 10,000 UFO videos and that military pilots see flying saucers five times per day. This sort of fear-mongering happens every year at the same time when UFO special interests want money, but this year we have the added ballast of Pres. Donald Trump exploiting ufology to help distract from his ongoing crises and scandals. This week, the Trump Administration unveiled the much-anticipated Aliens.gov website, which some had speculated would be devoted to UFO disclosure. Instead, the site was a cruel joke likening undocumented immigrants to non-human creatures and using the language of ufology to suggest that the two kinds of aliens share unsavory traits and should both be removed from America.

New in My Library
This week I added a fascinating description of (largely fictitious) ancient temples by Al-Masʿūdī from his Meadows of Gold. Interestingly, the final structure is an almost Lovecraftian story about a prehistoric Himalayan temple containing a dangerous portal leading into the depths of the Earth, where the Archive of Books records all knowledge past, present, and future.

Be sure to read my new piece on the secrets of Ohio’s Serpent Mound, now available in the July/August issue of Archaeology magazine in print and online for Archaeology subscribers. I examine exciting new research into the cosmology and mythology behind North America’s largest effigy mound.

A few months ago, former cable TV personality Scott Wolter claimed that an almost certainly fabricated ancient text he refers to as the “Yeshua Scroll” (the one stating Jesus is an alien from Arcturus) singled out June 6, 2026 as the date that Jesus alien clone would return to Earth. However, rather than risk being seen as wrong when, inevitably, the ET Jesus clone did not return, Wolter released a video on social media late last week substantially revising his claim. Instead of June 6 being the Second Coming, Wolter instead asserted that the date might signal anything from the death of Donald Trump (which did not happen) to (more likely in his opinion) the disclosure of an ET presence on earth or the landing of an ET spaceship (which also did not happen). He added that the date might signal the birth of “some important person” and that we won’t know the truth of the prophecy “for many years”—until long after Wolter has conveniently passed on and can’t be held accountable for being wrong.

News
The release of Steven Spielberg’s UFO movie Disclosure Day prompted a media frenzy around flying saucers and “Disclosure” that it’s hard to attribute entirely to coincidence. Several members of Congress, accompanied by David Grusch and Leslie Kean, held a press conference at the Capitol to call for more disclosure and declare a long-debunked Brazilian alien encounter to be real, with Grusch adding that the government knows about “sentient plasma life.” Some of those same members of Congress showed up on Ancient Aliens, newly returned from hiatus, the next day to speculate wildly about underwater aliens and their impossibly fast submarines. A few hours later, the Department of Defense released the third tranche of UFO files, which, ironically, featured plenty of supposed sentient plasma orbs, though most of these were videos by a single UFO believer who routinely mistook ordinary objects from Chinese lanterns to the International Space Station for orbs.

Only hours after Disclosure Day hit theaters, the White House and several intelligence agencies tasked Harvard astrophysicist-turned-ufologist Avi Loeb with creating a UFO advisory council to provide guidance in the study of UFOs. “Our time will not be wasted because at the very least — we will promote national security,” Loeb wrote. Loeb has now ascended to his final form, achieving his goal of merging his UFO investigation into the government, albeit the government of the most corrupt president in history and one who chooses talent from Fox News—which is where Trump saw Loeb and where Loeb ran to thank Trump for his “very important” directive.

Disclosure Day, however, earned mixed reviews, with critics split between declaring it a work of genius probing at the mysteries of creation and declaring it the unwatchable self-indulgence of a UFO believer.

In an AP story about all of the excitement surrounding extraterrestrials and Spielberg’s film, Diana Pasulka took the cake by explaining that UFOs are the best thing to happen to religion since the Reformation. “It’s a blow to the secular, materialist worldview,” she said, bizarrely insisting that space aliens—biological beings from another planet—are somehow beyond the purview of science. What she really meant, of course, is that if imaginary aliens in our imaginations are real, then perhaps so too are gods and demons.

It's a sentiment that Graham Hancock would fully endorse. In an appearance on the massively popular Diary of a CEO podcast, the lost civilization advocate, who is about to turn 76, talked about the supernatural creatures he encounters when he takes ayahuasca. His appearance came ahead of scheduled heart surgery, which he says is relatively minor. I of course extend my best wishes for a successful surgery.
