Because many people believe that there were giants on the earth in ancient times, the History Channel sought to capitalize on the success of Curse of Oak Island by making a strikingly similar show featuring brothers Jim and Bill Vieira, stonemasons who believe that old newspaper accounts of giants can be taken as evidence of a lost race of very tall people. These are my completely unauthorized episode reviews. More information about giants is available in my Library.
1. Unraveling the Mystery
The show introduces the Vieira brothers and their quest to seek the bones of a lost race of giants. The brothers believe one giant may be buried at the Goshen Tunnel.
4. The Giant Curse
The brothers commission a sketch of a giant, listen to conspiracy theories about giants on Ponape and in Mexico, and travel to Catalina Island to view a photo of an alleged giant.
2: A Photo, a Tooth, the Truth?
The brothers travel to the Ozarks to search for a cave rumored to have been the grave of a giant. They collect a giant tooth from the cave that turns out to be that of an animal.
5. Into the Bone Cave
The brothers travel to Tennessee to investigate claims that Big Bone Cave contains the bones of giants. They descend into the cave but come up empty-handed.
3: Chasing the Bones
The brothers continue to investigate at Goshen while also seeking out and failing to find the alleged bones of a giant in Vermont, which Jim Vieira thinks might be in a man's basement.
6. The Moment of Truth
The brothers excavate at Goshen and find nothing. Jim Vieira investigates a supposed colonial giant in Rhode Island and plans to ask authorities to open his grave.
