Launched in 2013 in the UK on the Yesterday channel, Forbidden History was conceived as a British version of America Unearthed, with a more global focus. Reedited episodes with Americanized narration aired on the American Heroes Channel in the United States. Hosted by former Top of the Pops presenter Jamie Theakston, the program combined his personal quest for "truth" with a rogue's gallery of fringe history talking heads in the style of Ancient Aliens. The program's mandate exceeded my personal interest in ancient history, often straying into World War II and Cold War history, so my reviews of the series have been spotty, but are collected here for convenience.
