There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The giants recorded in Genesis 6:4 are among the most mysterious beings in the Bible, and the subject of millenniums of speculation about the true nature and origin of these mighty men of old. Today, ancient astronaut theorists, so-called Nephilim researchers, and a number of fringe historians are actively searching for these ancient giants in an effort to demonstrate that this brief passage of the Hebrew Bible is literally true. This section collects some of the testimony used by these researchers to assert the onetime existence of a race of giant humans.
