My review of Scott Sigler's Ancestor along with my interview of the author about the book, skepticism, and the value of fiction in promoting a scientific worldview will run in Skeptic 16.1. Look for it on newsstands in the coming month or so.
It was interesting to see that my article "Charioteer of the Gods," the basis for Cult of Alien Gods, was included on the syllabus for Michelle Berenfeld's course in Cult Archaeology at Brown University's Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World. This is especially interesting because Brown University is located in Providence, Rhode Island and houses the papers of H. P. Lovecraft, the subject of my article. Now if only I could get one of my books instead of articles on a few syllabuses so I could roll in the literally tens of dollars of royalties that would come my way.
I am an author and researcher focusing on pop culture, science, and history. Bylines: New Republic, Slate, etc. There's more about me in the About Jason tab.
