Michael Tsarion and the Missing Alien Enlightenment

In 2002, Michael Tsarion published a book called Atlantis, Alien Visitation, and Genetic Manipulation. It’s a bizarre and complicated conspiracy theory involving global powerbrokers who conspired to hide an ancient catastrophe from human knowledge, yielding a worldwide cult of solar worship and mental control of the masses. (It’s apparently some warmed-over Victorian solar-hero theorizing mixed with modern paranoia.) This, he says, is due to aliens from Atlantis and is also the reason for what Tsarion views as humanity’s penchant for “evil.” Tsarion, of course, feels that he can define evil for the entire universe, whose various amoral black holes and violet gases and tentacle-bearing space travelers bend to his will.

I would like to point out an interesting prophecy Tsarion offered. In the first edition of the book, from 2002 (as given in my 2004 copy, though the most recent edition claimed a 2000 publication date for the first edition), he writes that the succeeding decade would bring about a revelation of “the truth”:

During the next 10 years, the human race is destined to finally discover the facts about its true origins and destiny. As part of this discovery, we have to address the overwhelmingly important question of how the phenomena of evil came into the world and into the consciousness of Earth’s human inhabitants. This is a question that should be on the mind of every living man and woman.

That, of course, would have corresponded perfectly with the alleged Maya Apocalypse of 2012. Indeed, Tsarion wrote another book called 2012: Is It the End of the World? Now, as you will recall, this never happened, and Tsarion continues to crank out books complaining, among other things, that history is being manipulated by an evil elite who murdered Meriwether Lewis to suppress the truth about white colonization of pre-Columbian America. Yes, that again. It’s amazing that this material stayed so secret that only Michael Tsarion, Scott Wolter, and a cast of thousands were able to ferret out the clues. We should all be relieved to know that even when the aliens return to punish us all for our evil sins, the most important thing is that white people were in America first!

So how did Tsarion react to his failed prophecy that humanity would awaken to its alien overlords by no later than 2012? In 2011, Tsarion released a Kindle edition of the book bearing a new copyright date, 2011, and still including the same claim that ten years out, the truth will finally emerge. I guess that resets the clock to 2021 for the tardy aliens to come enlighten us.
