Scott Wolter Claims "Antique" Journal Contains Templar and Oak Island Secrets

1/19/2022

Yesterday, the former host of America Unearthed, Scott F. Wolter, announced on Twitter that he had taken possession of what he described as a journal containing the secrets of the Templars and Oak Island. He shared pictures of the leatherbound volume, whose pages are filled with English language cursive writing, apparently in pencil. “This journal arrived from Europe today,” Wolter wrote, “and contains shocking Templars in America secrets including the answers to the Oak Island treasure mystery.” However, even Wolter’s fans quickly sensed something was amiss.

Exciting and historic day! This journal arrived from Europe today and contains shocking Templars in America secrets including the answers to the Oak Island treasure mystery. Stay tuned for huge revelations in the coming days! pic.twitter.com/npJdsQFtrA

As many quickly noted, the journal appears to be of the same type as one of dozens of commercially available, artificially aged journals sold on Amazon.com, Etsy, and elsewhere. Although there are some small differences, it seems likely that the journal Wolter has was customized from one of the commercially available versions.
Picture
A selection of similar journals for sale online.
Further inspection of the photos found several problems with the claim that the journal is of any great age. The leather appears to be freshly cut, and the stitching was done by machine, apparently with synthetic thread. The distressed pages, with their deckled edges, appear to be chosen for artistic evocation of age, and the unusually staining on the pages appears artificial. As paper ages, it generally darkens from the outer edge inward since the cut edge is most exposed to air. But the pages in Wolter’s journal are darkest at the center, consistent with artificial staining.

Wolter told his Twitter audience that he plans to have the journal carbon-dated and is busy investigating its Templar mysteries. He might want to start with the mysteries of Amazon.
UPDATE: Late this morning, Wolter announced that the journal is a modern, mass-produced book, but he insists that it is an artistic, evocative copy of a lost original because he thinks the text inside is copied from a real text. Since he previously said he wanted to carbon-date the book, it sounds like this is some post hoc rationalization.

Before people start jumping off cliffs, here are the facts. The leather and paper in the journal are modern. The 200+ pages of handwritten entries, dates, names, and maps are written in pencil and consistent with other documents we have. It is legit? We’ll see.

Seeing this, I immediately thought of Andy White's "Swordgate". It's a modern journal. Only once that's pointed out by several of his followers does Scott say "Yes, but it's what's inside that counts."

In one comment he seems to be hanging on to the notion that it's ancient saying they're going to carbon date the leather. After criticism starts piling on, he seems to be saying of course it's a modern journal but that doesn't mean what's transcribed inside is a modern story. Why not transcribe into a spiral bound notebook, or into a word processor? Well, because it was meant to defraud. Either Scott is an idiot, he thinks his fans are, or both.

I’m sensing a very strong force coming against everything Mr. W. does now! One imagines the ArchAngel Michael in a mountain cave and a holy spring bubbling outside the entrance. Twitter bots won’t help.

The “Swordgate” guy is now a “voting machine expert” (likely making at least six figures) and has become a big wheel among delusional Republicans who think the election was stolen from Trump.

In December, Swordgate guy attended a conference called “ReAwaken America” in Dallas that was described as a “QAnon-friendly event.” Our friend (along with many others in attendance) subsequently became extremely ill with Covid-like symptoms — but he claimed that his sickness was somehow caused by an anthrax attack! Mr. Swordgate recovered thankfully, but at least one other attendee died.

In even more recent news, since his recovery, Commander Swordgate has become involved in a bitter feud with another “Stop the Steal” anti-vaxxer which has involved, “doxing each other, debunking one another’s conspiracy theories, and even doxing one another’s supporters who contact them.”

Every claim made by Wolter over the years has been called into question or debunked almost immediately. At least to the satisfaction of 99.9 percent of the people actually qualified to comment on his claims.

The ensuing discourse is nothing more than a non-stop shitshow where Wolter comes across as increasingly ignorant and erratic. Equally so with his dwindling pool of sycophants.

Scientific investigation is about holding claims to rigorous objective inquiry. Wolter does not do this so his assertions are self-refuting.

Wait,,,, what,, I thought it was going to break open history as we know it ! It's just the same old, same old Wolter already had !
What happened to this:
Wolter's original post:

"biotite, if present was not intersected in the electron microprobe traverses."
(page 7)

Biotite is the cornerstone of Wolter's dating claims. His claim is that it took at least 200 years to completely remove the biotite from the outer surfaces of the KRS via weathering.
Professor Weiblen could find no trace of biotite whatsoever in the interior of the core sample,,,,,how can something weather away when it wasn't there in the first place ?

In a desperate attempt to make himself not look like so much of a moron, Wolter has changed his timeline to say he knew the book was a fake 10 minutes after opening the parcel not the hour he had previously claimed,,,
He is in effect admitting he was lying to and misleading everyone from the get go.

Here is an update on point #4 as well.

First Wolter's baldfaced lies about Professor Weiblem !
He really does not want anyone to read the Professor's report.

Wolter:

"5. The author also makes the claim on page 9, retired Professor of Geology, Paul Wieblen, "...have made detailed studies on it." This is grossly misleading. I was with Dr. Wieblen when he performed a single electron microprobe traverse on the core sample from the Rune Stone at the University of Minnesota to document its elemental composition. That was all he did. Dr. Wieblen never examined a thin section as claimed in the paper. If the author is wrong about this simple fact, what other facts did he get wrong? "

And whist I am at it, I would like to address Wolter's point #1 in his Academic hit job on Harold Edwards.

"1. The rock is not sandstone, it is a Paleoproterozoic aged (1.85-2.1 billion years old) metagraywacke that originated in the Thomson Formation located in Carlton, Minnesota. This rock name probably won't make sense to most people reading this, but in the world of geology it is a glaring sign the author doesn't understand the mineralogy and metamorphic textures so prevalent in this rock. The difference is significant and a PhD geologist should know better."

http://scottwolteranswers.blogspot.com/2021/09/an-academic-hit-job-on-kensington-rune.html

There seems to be much ambiguity about whether graywacke or metagraywacke is considered a metamorphic rock or a sedimentary rock. Can it be both ? It appears so.

Meet Hamish Campbell: Hamish Campbell is Senior Scientist at GNS Science and Subject Expert, Earth Science at Te Papa. A renowned geologist and paleontologist specialising in ancient rocks and fossils, and the Chatham Islands, he has authored numerous papers and books for popular and specialist audiences.

What does he say about graywacke ?

"Greywacke is more than just a sedimentary rock like mudstone. It has undergone some degree of metamorphism by burial, and the combination of pressure and heating has both hardened the rock and produced new minerals. Dating these minerals gives no information about the parent rock, but the greywacke also contains minerals from the original detritus that have resisted metamorphism, and which can be dated."

https://www.nzgeo.com/stories/rocks-suggest-surprise-origin/

I might also point out that if Harold is to be chucked to the side for calling the KRS sandstone and greywacke (greywacke is after all reconized as a sandstone) then too we must toss all the evidence Scott relies on from his hero N.H. Winchell.

"The stone is a dense and firm greywacke,"

On October 11, 2020 I posted the following on Wolter's blog. It does not appear there because he censored it.

Mr. Wolter:

Geology is a physical science, and it is evidence based. The Kensington Rune Stone is a sedimentary sandstone and not a metamorphic rock. It does not have the same composition as Thomson Formation. Your own evidence proves this.

On page 34 of your and Richard Nielsen’s 2006 book, The Kensington Rune Stone: Compelling New Evidence, you presented a petrographic modal analysis. It was not yours, but that of Richard Ojakangas, an academic with a Ph.D. On page 35 you presented a Quartz-Feldspar-Rock Fragment diagram with four plotted points: One labeled “Thomson, Virginia, and Rove Fms,” one labeled “Hudson Bay,” one labeled “E-C Mn drill hole,” and one in the center of the other three labeled “Kensington Runestone.” If the latter was Thomson Formation it would overlay the data point labeled Thomson Formation. In the modal analysis on page 34 Ojakangas found 18.0% “Felsic volcanic rock fragments” and 1.3% leucoxene. Leucoxene is an informal name for weathered titanium oxide minerals. Paul Weilblen found the titanium oxide mineral, ilmenite, in his electron microprobe analysis of the Kensington Rune Stone. Ojakangas was also co-author of a study of the Thomson Formation, Glenn Bernhardt Morey and Richard W. Ojakangas. "RI-13 Sedimentology of the Middle Precambrian Thomson Formation, East-Central Minnesota." (1970). Here Ojakangas found 0-16% felsic rock fragments and sphene as the titanium phase. Ilmenite/leucoxene is altered to sphene by low level metamorphism. The Kensington Rune Stone is not metamorphic. Furthermore, Ojakangas’s Quartz-Feldspar-Rock Fragment diagram of the Thomson Formation does not match yours on page 35.

Plate 17 in your book has a photomicrograph of the Kensington Rune Stone under crossed polars at 40x. It shows a poorly sorted rock with angular grains. Wikipedia publishes photomicrograph’s of sedimentary graywacke’s here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greywacke

These look identical to your Plate 17.

I have a set of your scanning electron microscope photographs from 2000 from your co-author, Dr. Richard Nielsen. I draw your attention to the image labeled “KRS Puck Glacial @100x.” Weathering has etched a linear array of parallel lines that run diagonally from the upper left to the lower right of the image. There are two large grains. One near the bottom center and the other in the upper right hand corner. You also made an elemental map of this image. The high Si (Silicon) content of the two grains along with conchoidal fracture on their surfaces implies they are quartz grains. Are the parallel lines sedimentary bedding or metamorphic foliation? These two grains prove them to be sedimentary. The long axis of the grains is at an oblique angle to the lineation. If the rock was metamorphic the grains would be rotated with their long axes parallel to the lineation and their ends would be squeezed out parallel to the foliation.

Furthermore if the Kensington Rune Stone were Thomson Formation, that alone would prove the artifact is a 19th Century fake. There is no natural mechanism to deposit Thomson Formation rocks in the Kensington area. Superior Lobe glaciation that passed over the Duluth area did not go that far to the west. The terminal moraine of the Superior Lobe is in central Minnesota east of the Kensington area. Norse explorers in 1362 would not have carried a 200 pound rock tablet from Duluth to Kensington.

Your complaint about my Winchell citation is laughable. I am well aware he died in 1914. In my paper I cited his memorial by Warren Upham. Upham noted Winchell was also an expert in botany, so Winchell’s identification of the tree in question as a quaking aspen is authoritative. The 1915 publication of his 1910 report is the most available. Furthermore it contains additional material from 1911 added by Hjalmar Holand to the bibliography. Holand–not Winchell–provided the bibliography. Here is the Library of Congress entry for your edification:

In the wake of the cider press vandalism incident I took issue with Wolter's insinuation that archaeologists were negligent in failing to pursue investigations into the so-called America's Stonehenge site. I merely stated that there has been no archaeological evidence to support fringe claims about the site even though there have been archaeological surveys all over the general area. Any investigations by professional researchers have debunked fringe claims about the site. Furthermore, archaeologists are hard pressed to investigate the multitude of endangered authentic prehistoric and historic sites in that general area and they simply don't have time or resources for this nonsense just to indulge the likes of Wolter. He refused to post my comments on his blog but did respond on the blog by threatening me with investigation by the police.because of my comments, which could in no way be construed as criminal. It does not surprise me in the least that he continues to censor content. I would be amazed if he ever agreed to an open debate with someone credible in a neutral setting.

Wolter made a public offer to debate anyone in this Youtube video titled "Jon Majerowski - Scott Wolter - Kensington Runestone Global challenge to all academics!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3RBsSvljFc

He repeated this challenge elsewhere including his blog and on Twitter.

This Youtube video was part of a longer promotional video to advertise a Scotland Unearthed lecture tour Wolter will give on June 5-12 this year.

Hayley A. Ramsey, a tour guide and travel agent for this tour as well as a participant in the above Youtube video, advertised this tour on Twitter. I posted my acceptance.

Ms. Ramsey replied:

"Scott blocked you but says: My challenge was made to a “legitimate” academic, not a PhD who doesn’t know the difference between a sedimentary and metamorphic rock. It would be awkward to debate a disgruntled & frankly, dangerous former employee I walked out the door 20 years ago."

My response to Ms. Ramsay was:

"Mr. Wolter is a liar. Wendy M. Everson. Human Resources, ACS walked me out of the building. That follows usual protocol for terminations in most companies. I am sorry for. You seem to be a fine lady. Good luck."

Wolter's challenge on the Youtube video is commercial speech to promote his tour. It is a clear and unambiguous offer for anyone to debate him on the Kensington Runestone. I accepted in an open forum where he also repeated this challenge. We therefore have contract formation, and he is duty bound to perform by debating me.

Scott Wolter is in breach of contract. He is a feckless liar and a coward. He is a licensed geologist in Minnesota. I am a retired licensed geologist in Minnesota. Wolter's libelous attacks on me violate the Minnesota Administrative Rules of Professional Conduct demanded by the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID which licenses geologists:

1805.0500 FALSE OR MALICIOUS STATEMENTS.

A licensee or certificate holder shall not make false or malicious statements that may have the effect, directly or indirectly, or by implication, of injuring the personal or professional reputation or business of another member of the profession.

Wolter has behaved this way again and again to other professionals over the last 20 years. Wolter is a disgrace to the profession of geology.

Scott DuSuger
1/27/2022 08:38:30 pm

Wolter has Karl Hungus on his side. Maybe he can help Wolter out with rudimentary understanding of Swedish.

Speaking of getting taken on walks. Didn't Wolter have to take a long walk up to the witness stand in a court case where it was demonstrated that he either tried to defraud someone by misrepresenting a rock in a sale or he was inept in misidentifying it himself?

Ohhhhhhh, Scotty, say it ain't so......

Kent

No Harold, there is no contract. A contract involves:

Offer
Acceptance
Consideration

This is something even a pre-law majoring waitress could walk you through. It might make a refreshing change from her usual grabby stumbling clientele.

Harold Edwards
2/3/2022 11:05:38 pm

Consideration need not be money. It can merely be the opportunity to be on the same platform as the famous man. It does not have to be specifically mentioned.

Harold Edwards
2/4/2022 12:43:54 pm

Kent, have a look at this famous case involving oral contracts made at a party.

https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-03-01-ca-150-story.html

Kim Basinger had just made L.A. Confidential and was a hot actress in demand. During a party she agreed to act in a film. No doubt the parties were drinking and engaged in considerable petty banter. Basinger later refused to perform and the movie was a flop. The producers then sued her for breach of contract.

The defendant Kim Basinger lost at trial and declared bankruptcy. Later on appeal the trial case was overturned for improper jury instructions.

However the damage had been done, and Basinger made an out-of-court settlement with the plaintiffs rather than retry the case.

The moral: Loose lips sink ships.

Though I can't read Wolter's responses (lol) he is trying to get out of the debate because he apparently believes Mr.Edwards does not like him. Most likely holds the key to the Arc of the Covenant, which I believe Wolter claims is hidden in a Montana cave guarded by the Templar's blood brothers the Blackfoot tribe of native Americans.
Although one of Lewis and Clark brought recovered some of the treasure and brought it back to Washington, it should not be confused with the Oak Island treasure which Scott claims was used to finance the Templar revolution, known by many as the American revolution.
Also Wolter claims that 1% of Americans are aliens from outer space.

Uri Gellar and The Search for The Ark Of The Covenant w/ Scott Wolter

https://player.fm/series/darkness-radio-1323773/uri-gellar-and-the-search-for-the-ark-of-the-covenant-w-scott-wolter

3 minute mark:
There are many Arks of of the Covanants (spoiler: they are batterys) They may have been used to power the pyramids.

5 minuteish
Bible is allegorical, the people in it are stars, planets and such.
You need to be a freemason to understand the bible.

8:30
Angel wings on the Ark of the covenant are battery posts.

12:00
there are 2 tens on the KRS, there are 2 x ten commandments on the tablets (wait,, what happened to the batteries ?) in the 2 arks of the covenants, sooo,,, I guess the two 10s on the KRS refer to the ten commandments, or,, I dunno (crazy talk).

A bunch of astrology nonsense,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

32 minute

Legendary football coach Bud Grant told a youthful Wolter to shut up. (he didn't listen)

I can't take any more,,, sorry.

"5 minuteish

As someone who read two to five books a day, every day for forty-two years except on days when he didn't has told us ad nauseam, "It's all stars, man!" Five time state champion my behind.

Apparently you have to be a Freemason to understand *anything*. If you wanted to devise a scheme to get all the idiots together you couldn't do any better than Freemasonry.

SW has made too many batshit crazy claims over the years to enumerate. This latest incident seems quite mild in comparison. It took 4 glasses of a decent Chardonnay to work up the level of BS tolerance required to look thru his Twitter feeds, or whatever they are called, to see public reaction to this particular unforced error. One hell of a pile on. For those more familiar with his career, is this an unusually high level of twitter traffic calling him out? The few times I took quick looks in the past the traffic seemed to be largely hoopleheads competing to see who could get their nose all the way in his rear.

Imagine how bad it would have been if he hadn't spent two days blocking everyone who criticized him and all their friends.
One person said he was blocked just for liking someones tweet.

William F Mann

https://templar.gold/pages/about-us/

"Bill is also a highly-respected member of the Canadian Council of Non-status Aboriginal Elders, as he is a member of the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake, due to his mother being full-blooded Algonquin. He has also been initiated into the Old Mide’win – the Grand Medicine Society."

This is interesting, William F Mann, Wolter's partner in their new "Templar Gold" enterprise turns out to be the tribal elder and Tribal Mide’win Society member whom Wolter has repeatedly referenced as a source for some his wacko Templar theories, usually pluralized (tribal elders). Wolter, when questioned about his sources would never reveal who it was.
William is the de facto author of a great deal of Wolter's material published in Wolters books.
These two have been as thick as thieves for a long time collaborating their works, Wolter wrote the forward to Mann's book "Templar Sanctuaries in North America: Sacred Bloodlines and Secret Treasures"

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017MTQCJY/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i1

" Explains how the Templars found refuge with Native American tribes, intermarrying with the Natives to continue the Holy Bloodline and further the lineage of guardians needed to protect their treasure and secrets...........
...................-was moved through the centuries and protected by a sacred lineage of guardians, descendants of Prince Henry Sinclair and the Native American tribes who helped him?"

The pair of them are two peas in a pseudo-history pod.

I would take issue with the "1/32" part. Remember this is the guy who knows majestic herds of 7 foot tall Indians who apparently can't be photographed. Nothing says "quality" like "my self-published book is out of print and therefore collectible."

But if you're in the market for a handcrafted Bic disposable lighter sheath he's your go to guy. Also a major advocate for the known carcinogen RoundUp because Big Poison Ivy is out to get him. He knows too much.

So Prof, Ojakangas says he would not be qualified to peer review Wolter's work, so Wolter is a liar. What are we to make of that? We already knew Wolter was a liar, but this is a new data point. Are Wolter's lies worse than "Darrold Knowles"'s or "Anthony Warren"'s? I don'r know,

No, no, no,,,,,,,,,

Prof, Ojakangas said -- "I am not eligible to be a peer reviewer"

Huge difference.

Jim. His personal history with Wolter disqualifies him. It's NOT a huge difference. Go screw your Google while I keep completely legally buildiing guns with no serial numbers. Jim.

I am not okouran on the cast of characters here. So cant keep track of what is said by whom in the kensington stone affair. I also understand there is often confusion over the whole concept of peer review on Wolterworld. However, the extent to which Okanjas, or whatever his name is, would be eligible to serve as a peer reviewed for Wolter would depend on the precise nature of their relationship. It would also depend on the specific policy of any given publisher involved.

The apple doesn't fall far from the coconut tree.

Scotty's niece/cousin or whatever relative she is, who runs "Scott Wolter Official Fanpage" claims:

"Scott Wolter Official Fanpage Yeah, I also think my ancestor never would've handed over the shroud to anyone, it would've gone with the other treasures hidden away.."

"Scott Wolter Official Fanpage Glenn Mantel hey it's the admin, I can tell you, mostly because my ancestor's templar family was the one tasked with protecting the shroud, the real one is most likely long gone, Italy created multiple "shrouds" and sold them in the early centuries, the shroud the church has is in no way real."
